Straits Quay CNY 2012

Decided to take my parents out on the 2nd night of CNY as I was pretty free with my own time. In the essence, it was more of like wanting to give them a treat before I return to Alor Setar. It was decided at first that Sushi King was the ultimate choice, but somehow we decided to take an about turn and opted for Straits Quay as the fact of getting to exercise after eating sounded more appealing. We know that for a fact as Straits Quay boasts of a long trail by the side of the beach. Furthermore, my dad hasn't really been there before, and it was a plus point to go there instead. The place in fact, was pleasantly decorated, not overdone, but just simply and briefly stated, well done. The bustling of the crowd only started to pack in after about half an hour of walking around the place though.

We took about 30 minutes before dinner and strolled along the quay (or whatever it is called) before deciding to stop by at Pappa Rich to have our dinner. This marks the second time I've been to this outlet and I find that the food can be quite enriching in terms of its sweetness. So be wise. Otherwise, the outlet was packed to the brim and we were lucky enough to be able to get a place before everyone crams in. Dinner wasn't too long, but it's good that we get to have a meal together and then thereafter, took a brisk walk around the plaza before adjourning to the Tesco nearby.

Oh, by the way... I get to see a Beagle - a fat and really, really slow Beagle walking along the place and I even get to see him poop. Not that it's something good to mention here, but oh well... how often do I get to see a Beagle poop? LMAO! Alright that's out of point, but then again, it was pretty much it. Quite fun, relaxed and slow. The place is breezy and the company is good. Ahhh... I wonder what's for tomorrow then. Hope the holidays can get longer than this, I can't be bored with such.
