Garlic Galore

Some people can't live without, many would rather do without it, but for a few people such as me, I love them to the core. And when I mean I love them, this would essentially mean the whole of it. The greatest consumption of garlic in each year round has to be me, and I am proud to claim that award alone with a stinking breath of garlic! LOL! And CNY is just the perfect timing to consume them. You can mix them with steamed foods, boiled products as well as those much anticipated dishes cooked with the steamboat style.

Of course, given the chance that I don't have to speak to anyone later on, I would gladly eat up one whole big bowl of it raw. LMAO! That would be equivalent to at least a few hundred grams of garlic and I did just that on two occasions this CNY already. Nothing is going to stop me from consuming more of them. In fact, I stink pretty bad later on. My whole body reeks of garlic and the pungent smell would drive not only vampires away but cats, yes cats away! Coz there's just too many cats around my compound that I have no idea where they came from. I saw them scurrying away like little rats when I got home (something that you won't see them doing for the past few days and the past few months). That gave me the idea that it has to be attributed towards the huge amount of garlic that I have just consumed a few hours back. Don't even get me started with burping, farting and peeing out the garlic. Wait a tick... that explains why the toilet bowl has been stinking since yesterday evening. LMAO!

All the more, garlic is the best and cheapest form of antioxidants there is in the market. Couple that with orange, onion, green tea, coffee, deep dark black chocolate and red wine, you're pretty much on the go in fighting all the diseases in the world. Even all the bugs and bacterias would be running off with their feet and tentacles (if they have one) to wherever they can.

Talking about the recent reunion. My girlfriend's family did the same thing this year by ushering in the new year with wrapping popiahs. Well, I don't really know that much about tradition and stuffs, but the most important thing is that I get the opportunity to lush in the garlic that is on the ready. The popiah wraps go into the base of the plate, followed by the lettuce, then a vast amount of 2 teaspoons of raw garlic followed by strips of turnips and then toppled with the luscious red belacan. Wrap it all up and dunk it in your mouth. Needless to say, I sweat buckets and got dehydrated all too soon. But darn! That was so good that I don't even feel the heat or the spiciness. In fact, nothing is too spicy, not yet for the ABAH2 creator =P

So come on now, give me the award, before I start burping and breathing down your throat. Hahaha... Oh well... here's another wish of a very blessed Chinese New Year to all of you guys and girls out there. Hope you had a wonderful reunion dinner the night before and as well as garnering all those red packets in your hands by the load by now. Have fun, and if you have no idea on what to spend all those angpow money on, you can kindly donate it to me. I can alleviate your suffering and psychological stress on that dilemmatic decision.
